Computer Skills
I am currently serving as a manager/updater for Wolf Park’s web site, including the maintenance of mailing lists and site and blog updates. I also managed Barnhill Chimney’s web site, including its Facebook page and SEO, for several years, as well as several web sites for the University of Doglando, including WooCommerce stores.
I have used many programs, and things I don’t know I learn very quickly. I can use most software, install most hardware, and teach others how to use it too.
Software used includes:
- MS Office: Publisher, Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Acrobat, Photoshop, Premiere, LiveCycle Designer
- QuickBooks Pro
- ServiceCEO scheduling software
- Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome
- Mozilla Thunderbird, Microsoft Outlook/Express + Calendaring
- Constant Contact, SurveyMonkey, Google Analytics, Google AdWords, and other SEO/marketing applications
- CoffeeCup HTML Editor, DirectFTP, WordPress, and some CSS and JavaScript in HTML editing and site design
- A huge variety of smaller applications, including WordPerfect, QuickTime Pro, Dragon NaturallySpeaking, Windows Networking, and proprietary web interfaces
I have purchased, maintained, troubleshot and upgraded computers (PC) and equipment:
- motherboards, CPUs, heatsinks/fans, memory, power supplies, expansion cards
- hard drives, CD/DVD drives, flash drives/card readers
- monitors, scanners, printers, digital cameras
- modems (from dialup to cable), switches, routers, hubs
- servers, including internet connection sharing and data backup
Additionally:
- Operated self-sufficient on-site photo booths with digital cameras and wireless printers
- Maintained business LAN and shared satellite Internet connection
- Created and maintained several web sites, including online gift shops
- Cleaned and restored “hacked” web sites
- Used Mac (OS X, older versions) and Linux (Red Hat)
- Provided on-call technical support for multiple users
